Summary:

Stephen Chow, whose name Mighty Steel or Leg Sing, is one of Shaolin monks. Stephen Chow and his other six brothers were in the temple together to learn Kung Fu martial arts. They spent years to different kind of martial arts from the temple. However, after they graduated from the temple’s requirements all of them returned to normal life. Each and every of them is working in different position, leaving Shaolin martial arts behind. Stephen Chow, on the contrary, is a rubbish collecting boy. He hides himself in a dirt place. He makes just a living. Stephen Chow hopes one day he could repromote the popularity of Kung Fu martial arts. Stephen Chow or Mighty Steel thought that if people know Shaolin martial arts they might not encounter such problem with their work. They do not need to worry about traffic jam, working late or accidental cause.

Plot of the movie:

Once Stephen Chow is collecting trash from the people in the city, he met Ng Man-tat who used to be the Chinese soccer hero. Ng Man-tat was one the champion during his young age. However, he failed one shot and hit the wrong goal people got angry with him and they did violent over him. Ng Man-tat became a disable person after those violent event. Like Mighty Steel, Ng Man-tat is living with dirt and is collecting trash for money as well.

In front of the big trading building, Ng Man-tat meets Mighty Steel and they got into a short conversation. Mighty steel told Ng Man-tat everything about the usefulness of Kung Fu martial arts and persuaded Ng Man-tat to learn it so that he will have a better life. However, Ng Man-tat did not believe Mighty Steel since Mighty Steel’s appearance is as bad as a beggar. Ng Man-tat says if Kung Fu is much useful then you may become already a rich and wealthy man, not living in such poor condition like this. In a bad temper, Mighty steel responded to Ng Mam-tat that you are such poor disable guy. Ng Man-tat felt really angry and he threw of coca-cola can over Mighty Steel. Mighty Steel reflects it and hit that can away.

These two guys went apart from that time. Until one day, Ng Man-tat saw his coca-cola can there was hit by Mighty steel. With such powerful mighty steel’s foot, that can hit the wall of a house. Ng Man-tat was surprised about that. Then Ng Man-tat tried to find Mighty Steel. He found Mighty Steel. He checked everything from the bottom to the top of Mighty Steel’s body. Ng Man-tat knows that Mighty Steel is one a rare person and he has full capability to play football.

After that, Ng Man-tat asked Mighty Steel to gather all of his brothers that used to study in Shaolin temple. At first those brothers did not want to join Mighty Steel’s football team because they already lost confidence in Kung Fu martial arts. To them, Kung Fu martial arts is useless for daily life. They can’t make use of it.

However, all those brothers recalled great memory when they were together in the temple. After thinking for a whole night, they come together to join Mighty Steel’s football team. Ng Man-tat is their coach. Ng Man-tat is using different kinds of tactics to train all the newly, unprofessional Shaolin monks. However, all those Shaolin monks possess different skills. Some is good at using head, other good at using foot, body, and so on so forth.

After a long training, Shaolin monks form themselves a foot team. They enter the game with others and always win the game. Until the big match, Shaolin monks succeeded everything match. Except the last big nationwide match, Shaolin football club has to compete with the other strong team. The Shaolin team almost lost the game since its opponent is ten times stronger than. However, with the help of another Tai-Chi lady the Shaolin team wins that nationwide game and become one the historical football in China history.
