Summary

The God of Gambler Returns or the God of Gamblers is one of the best movie in Hong Kong film industry. Chow Yun-Fat is the main actor in action film. He is called God of Gambler but one thing people can’t recognize his face is because as a god of gambler he never allows people to his picture at the front. He supposed to quit gambling upon request from his lovely wife but he can’t.

Storyline:

At the beginning of the movie, Chow Yun-Fat and his close friend met each other at his villa in Paris, France. They two always compete with each other to be the best shooter. But both of them are good shooting and every time they can’t find the real winner. At this time, it was so sad for Chow Yun-Fat. As he and his friend went out to the nearby forest to play gun shooting, there was a Taiwanese gang came in to his villa and kill Chow Yun-Fat’s wife and his unborn baby.

When Chow Yun-Fat returned, he can only catch the last breath of his wife. His wife asked him to quit gambling but Chow Yun-Fat requested for a permission of in three months (100 days). In those 100 days, Chow Yun-Fat can’t sleep and he count the days. He went to chill out everywhere. One day, he met an accident on a boat where there was fighting and killing another top gambler and gang master in Taiwan. Chow Yun-Fat promised to help sending their son back to Taiwan.

When Chow Yun-Fat entered Taiwan territory, it’s almost his time to play game again. It takes him two days more. In those two days, gang masters in Taiwan sent many people to kill him but they can’t because Chow Yun-Fat’s close friend came to help him.

Finally, the gambling day has come. Chow Yun-Fat, who his wife, friends, and love one got killed because of that bad Taiwanese gangs, really wanted to return everything back. He wears he will win the game and find justice for his unluck wife and friends. He won the game, after all. After he finished everything and make it in order, Chow Yun-Fat decided to disappear from gambling world forever.
