Throughout the years 1980s
and 1990s, Pisith Pilika converted herself to be one of the famous stars in
Cambodia. Due to her professional as well as her beauty and her great
performance, it has put her at the top of all movie stars in Cambodia in those
days. She was contracted to play role in many Karaoke companies and thousands
of karaoke songs.

She was born on 14th of February, 1965 in Phnom Penh city, Kingdom of Cambodia
She died on 6th of July, 1999 in Battambong province, Kingdom of Cambodia
She is a ballet dancer and an actress.
She roles in movies such as Pov Malis Lea, Pich Min Tonn Chnai, Preah Vesandor, Chnam Oun 16, and Bopha Puos Vaek.
She is married to Mr. Kai Praseth and has a child names Kai Seth Lesak.
Her parent’s name: Meng Mony, Oak Harl.
She has two siblings: Sao Daro and Sao Pealear.
At the beginning of the year
1990, her family situation worked quite well. Mr. Kai Praseth is also a movie
actor. He and Pisith Pilika were living in an impressive mood. However, at the
middle of 1990s Pisith Pilika’s relationship with Mr. Kai Praseth went at a
crossroad. She and her husband started to distrust each other. Pisith Pilika
remains a Karaoke star, though.
For very often, Pisith Pilika’s
fragility with the family becomes the topic for many magazines, newspaper,
radion and television channel. At one time, Pisith Pilika was interviewed by
TV5 Cambodia. She told the report that her family relationship can’t move
forward anymore. They may be at the milestone of breaking apart. She did not
want that outcome as well but she can’t contain it. This is life’s evolution,
she told the TV5 channel.
Mr. Kai Praseth knew
everything about her and manage to live in abroad. Kai Praseth with his little
child settled themselves in Australia for a while. Kai Praseth knew that Pisith
Pilika’s relationship will be worse. And of course, Kai Praseth was right.
Pisith Pilika’s relationship with other high ranking government official made
big trouble.
Pisith Pilika’s relationship
with high ranking government official leads to triangle loves. This triangle
love rather cause deadly trouble to Pisith Pilika’s life. Because that high
ranking government official’s wife does not feel happy with this affairs, they
initiated a revenge against Pisith Pilika.
In July 6th, 1999,
Pisith Pilika already feels unsafety but she remains going out like normal. On
this very particular day while while do shopping at the one market called O’Russey
in Phnom Penh capital city, Pisith Pilika was shot many times by an identified
man. Pisith Pilika was then transferred to hospital nearby but she was in very
bad condition. She stayed in the hospital for a week till the morning of 13th
July 1999, Pisith Pilika left this world that morning.
Hundreds of thousands of
people joined her funeral ceremony. They came from different provinces to mourn
her tragic event in the capital city of Phnom Penh. They were so sad for this
great lost. Pisith Pilika, to them, is a revolutionary singer, actress, dancer
and karaoke stars. Many people keep asking question why Pisith Pilika dead. Who
is the real killer?
Up until today, the truth
never be found. The assassin of Pisith Pilika remains under investigation but
never reaches any evidence and outcome. Justice that has long been waiting
still be away from Cambodian people.
