Summary:
Stephen Chow plays role as
the flirting scholar in ancient China. He is the most intellectual person and
masters in almost all fields. He knows how to write poem, play music, flirting
girls, painting, martial arts and many other tricks. Stephen Chow whose name
Tong Pak Foo falls in love to a girl names Chow Heung. Tong Pak Foo has gone away
from home to stay closer to Chow Heung in order to ask her to get married. Tong
Pak Foo has to convert himself to be a servant of a rich family in order to
stay nearby Chow Heung.

Plot of the Film:
Stephen Chow or Tong Pak Foo
in the film has seven most beautiful wives. He is the only one person in Chiang
Nan province that has such beautiful wives and rich family. People really
admires him for this fortune. Every day in the afternoon people are waiting to
pick up his trash, a painting that Foo throwing away. Just this trash is
already priceless to people. Foo is really good at painting. His paints could
cost up to thousands of kilo gold.
Everybody also feels jealous
of Foo’s life. They thought Foo’s life is the most happy ever and they wish one
day they can be like him. However, Foo’s life is not that happy. Of course, he
has seven very beautiful wives and lots of wealth but he can never enjoy it.
In his house, all the seven
wives are playing game always. These wives did not do anything as all wives
supposed to do. They do not cook; they do not clean house, they not care of
husband; they do not respect mother; they do not take care all properties in
the house. They rather waste time, money and life for just gambling. Foo and
his mother really disappointed about this reality. Foo wanted to escape from
home for a while.
At the next day, Foo and his fellow
friends are the heart of the town to entertain their life. They also heard that
people from Ho’s family will come to the temple and give foods to homeless
people. Among Ho’s family, there is one most beautiful lady, name Chow Heung.
Foo, as his name a flirting scholar, also wants to her. But in order to see
Chow Heung, they must be a beggar or homeless people. Foo and his other three
friends decided to convert themselves to a beggar.
Foo had the opportunity to
meet Chow Heung while he is being a beggar. But Foo really likes Chow Heung. He
wants Chow Heung to his wife. Foo then decided to follow Chow Heung at the Ho’s
family.
Foo has hide his identity in
the Ho’s family since there is a rule in that family not to accept or read any
book written by Foo. As a servant in Ho’s family, Foo has the opportunity to
stay closer to Chow Heung. He did many things to help Ho’s family, especially
when the royal family want to challenge Ho’s family. Foo changes to name Li An
became a tutor for Ho’s sons. No one knows Li An is Foo until his close friend
was taken to Ho’s family.
Li An’s identity was
discovered. They know Li An is Foo in reality. They wanted to know why Foo came
to work here in Ho’s family. Foo told them that he come for Chow Heung. He wants
to get married to Chow Heung but Ho’s family did not want to allow.
