Summary of the movie:
This film describes about God of Gamblers given in
the film as Chow Sing Cho (who originally name Stephen Chow). A group of people
with magical spiritaul powers went on to Chow Sing Cho and his uncle Tat.

Storyline:
Chow Shing Cho (Stephen Chow) is the main actor is
this film. He in this film has learned one special sutra or telekinetic and can
use his mind make something tricky especially in playing games such as cards.
He was quite famous upon his winning repeatedly over his competitors. Finally,
he got lots of rivals. Those who lost the games really got mad and wanted to
kill him. One man was among his fellow man at the same school. He has quite a
bit magic as well. That night a group of rivals led by a man of the same school
to kill Chow Shing Cho. Chow Shing Cho and his uncle were almost got killed
because of magic. But they can’t do anything Chow Shing Cho.
During the fighting both men has the same magical
power and they were using it against each other. Finally, Chow Shing Cho and
one of his major rivals came back to the past of the 1937. Chow Shing Cho soon
though it was in 1991 and try to find a taxi go back home but he was shocked as
he found out that it was 36 back. He met a beautiful girl in his life. He fell
in love with that girl called Gong Li. He soon went to the town. Unfortunately,
that day was the death of one leader in Shanghai. As Chow Shing Cho wore black
T-shirt, the red T-shirt came for revenge against the black T-shirt. They
killed everyone that wore black T-shirt and Chow Shing Cho is one of them. Chow
Shing Cho knew this change his T-shirt to red but another sad event came to him
again. The black T-shirt gathered more people to fight against the red T-shirt.
Chow Shing Cho was unlucky again but this time he found out that his martial
arts is powerful. If he beats somebody with his hand, those will die very
quick. Finally, Stephen Chow killed the wrong doer.
Mr. Teng (Chow Yun Fat) like Stephen’s performance
and invited him to join his club. Chow Shing Cho instead only want to go back
his era of 1991. But he can’t do it at that moment since nobody understand him.
The big day has come. Chow Shing Cho plays game
with King of gambler from France. At the end, Stephen Chow won the game. And he
returned back to the year 1991 with merciful help from his colleague of the
same school.
