Summary of the Story:
Kosal is living under a poor condition and either does Nary. However, Nay is a beautiful girl. During her family in troube, there was a nice person names Rath often gives her a hand. Nary was really happy with the help but she felt a little bit doubtful about that kindness performance. She wonders why Mr. Rath is willing to assist her in any situation. Nary ran away from Rath as she thought Rath might wants her to get married. Nary has to fake herself as a boy. She moves to work with Kosal for a while as a boy. Kosal feels doubtful as well about Nary's behavior.

Kosal is wondering if Nary is a girl. One day, Kosal tests Nary by asking her to dance while Kosal is playing guitar. Kosal forces Nary to dance as hard as she can. And Nary can't reject this proposal. She dances and dnace till she did not notice that her hat fall off and her long hair started to return back to normal. In that situation, Kosal is laughing while Nary is dancing without any notice.
Immediatedly, Nary knew that she can't hide Kosal anymore. Kosal was so happy because the guy he is staying with is his girlfriend. However, Kosal was wondering why Nary fakes herself as a boy. Nary told her story from the beginning till the end. She fakes it because she does not want others to identify her easily, especially Rath's family.
Nary and Kosal were so happy that they can live together. However, Kosal's father is sick for long time. Kosal has to do something to earn money in order to medicine for his father. Luckily, he got a job. He has to move to the province to join the military exercise. Kosal moved out for a while and left Nary with his sick father.
Nary and Kosal often exchanges letters but for a month she did not receive any letter from Kosal. In that morning, Nary received a letter. She was so happy at first since she beleives it's Kosal letter. Saddly, the time she opens the letter and read, her tear falls down. It's not a good new. Kosal was told death. Nary did not believe that news. But she can't wait for Kosal. Nary has to marry to another guy.
On the weddgin day, Mr. Kosal, who was supposed to pass way, came to sing for her wedding event. Nary remains feeling that Kosal does not die yet. And when she heard the song "Mouy Mern Alai", she believes it is Mr. Kosal is singing it. She chases after him after finishing the song. But she can't find Kosal.
Kosal also feels unhappy to see his girlfriend is marrying but he can't much thing to that family. That family did a lot of good things to Kosal's family. What Kosal can do is to be away from Nary and let her and her husband to live together happily.
